Dear MOPS Members,

We hope you are having a wonderful summer.  The summer is half-over and MOPS is just around the corner with changes!  We want to share these changes with you and get you thrilled about MOPS-Life on Planet Mom.  Invite your friends, neighbors, and other preschool moms to come be a part of our MOPS group.  We have a great opportunity to fellowship, laugh and encourage other mothers of preschoolers. 

First of all, MOPS is moving to the second Monday of the month for the next year.  Second is one of the bigger changes by FBC who has decided to move the location of their nursery (this move will not take place until after the first meeting).  Instead of the childcare rooms on the east side, the rooms are being relocated to the west side near the sanctuary.  We will remain meeting in the Fellowship Center with a homemade breakfast. Throughout the year, we are planning special activities for MOPPETS.  If you thought last year’s door prizes were incredible, this year they are even better!  Keep reading to find out more about our very exciting changes!

MOPPETS will also be changing starting with Lynley Phillips as MOPPETS Coordinator this year.  In November, we will have a “Thankful for Jesus & MOPS” party.  Paradise Pond is reserved for only our MOPS members from 11:30am-1:30pm that day.  We will provide pizza and drinks at 11am in the Fellowship Center before playing in Paradise Pond afterwards.  In December, we want all of the MOPPETS to wear their PJ’s to MOPS to listen to the Christmas story by one of the FBC ministers to celebrate Jesus’ birthday.  They will also decorate cookies or ice cream cones.  We are also working on getting Nana Puddin’ come to perform a show with our MOPPETS! 

It is time for you to register for MOPS!  You can register at www.fbcgrapevine.com/MOPS or register in person at the church office of FBC Grapevine for $72.  After September 1st, the price is $82.  If you encourage and register (full year paid) a new mom to our group, you will receive a special prize!  Full and partial scholarships are also available.
